Scoring and Re-Testing

How do I see my scores?

Your scores will be available in ALEKS PPL immediately. Official proctored placement exams will be uploaded to the UNM system within two hours of completion. You can view these scores by logging into LoboWeb, click Registration & Records, click View Test Scores.

What does my score mean?

You can view what courses your score corresponds to on our Course Placement page. In some cases, your score may place you in several courses or in a higher-level course than your degree requires. Your academic advisor can provide you with further information about what your placement means for your math journey here at UNM and give you recommendations on next steps based on your degree program.

I’m unhappy with my score. Can I take the test again?

Yes. You have two opportunities to take the official placement exam. If you want to try again, you will need to complete additional practice assessments. You should complete learning modules between each assessment. See below for the full path to complete a second official placement.
